Nova had an excellent run for the duration of her hour. Showing speed,
independence and intelligence. At 10 she was spotted on a hillside and
as we rode forward to the top off the hill we then saw her making a
huge move, hunting the cover, which ended in seeing a tiny white dot
about a mile out. At 45 she was rewarded with a find that required a
few relocations and eventually the bird flushed under the judge’s
horse with the dog staunch and stylish. She finished the tour far to
the front.
Hewey had a very consistent, big forward race. After seeing him
briefly at the beginning the judge found him standing at 24 minutes,
perfect style and intensity during the flush. He had another find 25
minutes later after a large move where we caught glimpses of him. He
finished the hour to the front with plenty left in the gas tank.
